Lisa Maïofiss – Céramiste

Professionals

I support professionals in interior designarchitects, designers, decorators—in creating bespoke ceramic pieces, designed to integrate seamlessly into a space or atmosphere.

Between clean lines and raw textures, my work explores materials intuitively, while meeting the technical and aesthetic requirements of each project. Every collaboration is a shared creative journey, an open dialogue between your vision and my expertise.

ceramics and interior design

I design and create ceramic pieces intended to integrate into interior architecture, decoration, or scenography projects.

My work is aimed at architects, designers, and decorators seeking unique, sensitive, and bespoke objects. Between raw textures and clean lines, my practice blends fine craftsmanship, design, and intuitive exploration of materials.

Each creation can be developed in dialogue with the client, according to the project’s universe and its technical or aesthetic constraints.

I work from your intentions, plans, and moodboards, adapting my expertise to the context in a fluid, sensitive, and responsive process.

You are welcome to visit the studio!

Every collaboration is an opportunity to create a dialogue between my universe and yours, to design meaningful objects together.

Collaborate, cocreate, dialogue between materials and ideas…”

In a “previous life”, collaboration was at the heart of my practice: I have always enjoyed dialogue, teamwork, and sharing visions. This approach, deeply rooted in me, continues to inform the way I create today.

Each project is a unique adventure for me, a construction with many voices. I enjoy listening, understanding, proposing—and above all, progressing together step by step. Working with interior designers or architects means imagining pieces that find their rightful place within a space, an atmosphere, an intention.

I have also studied this collaborative approach. In 2020, I dedicated my master’s thesis at ENSCI – Les Ateliers to collaboration in the crafts: between artisans, but also between artisans and designers. I explored the conditions for a successful dialogue, the keys to mutual understanding, and the bridges possible between our languages and working rhythms.

Today, I bring this experience to bespoke projects, working closely with creative and design professionals. Whether it is to conceive a unique piece, integrate ceramics into a broader project, or experiment with materials and forms, I am attentive—ready to imagine, adapt, and co-create.

techniques & know-how

wheel-throwing

A traditional technique that allows for symmetrical shapes while preserving a certain spontaneity in the gesture.

slab-building

Ideal for sharp or soft lines, geometric or architectural constructions. This technique allows great freedom in cutting, assembling, and shaping.

Montage d'une jarre à la corde à l'atelier

rop jar

Rare and ancient, originating from the south of France. It allows the creation of large-scale pieces. A rope is wrapped around a wooden structure, and clay is then applied over the rope. After partial drying, the structure and rope are removed, leaving the rope impressions visible on the interior of the piece.
