Terracotta
The Raw Clays – Terracotta and Terrablanca collections pay homage to ancient vases, while asserting a contemporary aesthetic… a call from the Mediterranean and sun-drenched lands.
Each piece in chamotte clay, raw and textured, reveals handcrafted work: incisions, vibrations, traces of ropes, and sculptural handles. The black color, applied intuitively like calligraphy, emphasizes the reliefs and follows the curves. These unique creations interact with light and space, enhancing the most singular interiors.
The Terracotta are unique pieces in Tuscany chamotte earthenware.
The clay displays salt and lime fluorescences, giving it a very particular appearance and texture, characteristic of ancient ceramics, and conveying a sense of movement and life.
Some creations are adorned with ropes, inspired by shimenawa, the large rice-straw cords of Japanese sacred sites, bringing flexibility… some ropes may even take liberties and float, dance…
